SOMAA exists to serve the needs of the school's 4,000+ alumni. To that end we:

• Serve as a conduit for communications among Yale SOM Students, Faculty and Administration
• Facilitate the development of regional Networks and support their operation
• Promote direct alumni involvement in many facets of the School's operation
• Maintain this Web site as a central source of SOM and Alumni information and resources
• Support a SIG alumni speakers program, to bring alumni to school to share experiences with current students
• Confer annual teaching award to a faculty member selected by a student vote
• Provide a summer internship to a current student – to assist on an alumni-focused initiative
